Whole-Child Support for Children, Adolescents & Young Adults Facing Sleep, Behaviour, and Regulation Challenges
A structured, evidence-informed approach supporting children, adolescents, and families experiencing sleep difficulties, behavioural challenges, gut health concerns, and nervous system regulation issues, guided by the S.E.N.S.E Framework.
I support families in Hamilton and the Waikato region navigating complex challenges with their child’s sleep, behaviour, digestion, and physical regulation, while also working with adolescents and young adults where these patterns continue. The focus is on identifying underlying drivers and creating a clear, structured pathway toward improved sleep, emotional regulation, and overall function.
When a child’s system is overwhelmed, behaviour is communication—not defiance.
Sleep difficulties, emotional dysregulation, gut symptoms, and behavioural challenges often share a common root: a system that is struggling to regulate.
This is where we begin.
Does this sound like your child?
Waking frequently or struggling with sleep
Emotional outbursts, meltdowns, or overwhelm
Difficulty settling or regulating behaviour
Constipation, bloating, or digestive discomfort
Mouth breathing, snoring, or restless sleep
Sensory sensitivities or overload in daily environments
If this feels familiar, you are not alone — these patterns are often connected.
Why these symptoms are connected?
Children’s sleep, behaviour, gut health, and emotional regulation are deeply interconnected through the nervous system, digestion, sensory processing, and breathing patterns.
When one system is under strain, others are often affected. This is why isolated symptom approaches often fail to create lasting change.
The S.E.N.S.E Framework
The S.E.N.S.E Framework™ is a structured clinical model used to understand how different systems influence a child’s sleep, behaviour, digestion, and overall regulation.
Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, this framework looks at how key systems interact — providing a clearer, more complete picture of what may be contributing to your child’s challenges.
All consultations are guided by a structured developmental health model that explores:
WHAT S.E.N.S.E STANDS FOR
S — Sleep Regulation
Sleep quality, night waking, circadian rhythm, and restorative patterns.
E — Emotional Regulation
Meltdowns, overwhelm, emotional responses, and nervous system load.
N — Nutrition & Gut Health
Digestion, appetite, constipation, and gut–brain interaction.
S — Sensory Environment
Sensitivity to noise, light, routine, and environmental input.
E — Energy & Breathing
Mouth breathing, snoring, oxygen flow, and overall energy patterns.
Child Health Support
Support for children experiencing challenges with sleep, behaviour, digestion, or regulation.
This pathway uses the S.E.N.S.E Framework™ to understand how different systems may be contributing to your child’s symptoms.
Mum Support
Dedicated sessions for mums experiencing stress, overwhelm, or reduced capacity.
These sessions focus on nervous system support, practical strategies, and restoring balance.
Why this approach is different
Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I focus on understanding how sleep, gut health, nervous system regulation, sensory input, and breathing patterns interact.
This allows for more meaningful, long-term change rather than short-term symptom management.
How support works
Initial consultation (full developmental assessment)
Individualised support plan
Follow-up review and refinement
All care is structured and tailored to your child’s needs.
A Thoughtful, Individualised Approach
I intentionally work with a small number of families at any one time to provide in-depth, personalised support for each child and family we work with.
This approach supports meaningful, lasting progress, though it may occasionally result in a short wait for appointments.
